Gayle Gibbs-Jones

Assistant Director

Gayle began her dance training in Western Australia studying Royal Academy of Dancing (RAD), Australian Institute of Classical Dance Borovansky Syllabus and Australian Teachers of Dance (ATOD). Gayle holds a Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management, a Certificate II in Dance, which she completed at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), studying under the guidance of teachers such as Jane Diamond, Jenny Kinder, David Prudham and Lucette Aldous.

Gayle spent time in Melbourne where she completed a Certificate III in Commercial Dance and Musical Theatre at the Bartuccio Dance and Promotion Centre. Here, she was fortunate to learn from Randolf Winston, Dana Jolly, Alana Scanlon-Clarke, Paul Davis, Elissa Meyer-Thomas, Andrea Wigg and singing teacher Kerri Sutherland, known for her performances on GMA (Good Morning Australia). During this time, her dedication to dance won her a place in the Bartuccio Dance Agency.

As a performer, she performed at the “Youth Diabetes Ball” at the Crown Casino, the “Footy Show Final” at the Rod Laver Arena, “The Crown Christmas Show” with Toni Lamond, Simon Gallaher, Barry Crocker and Julie Anthony, and “Youth Alive” at the Rod Laver Arena. She was also selected by Lenny D from Toronto, Canada to perform his work for “Fiesta Choreographers Ball” in Perth in 2008.

As a teacher, Gayle has taught at Lynwood Senior High School, Winthrop Baptist College and Warnbro Community High School, and joined the team at All About Dance in 2005.

As a choreographer, Gayle's work has been seen at Barbegellos Royal Queensbury Corporate Challenge over the past three years, the Riverview Church, Burswood where she lead the dance team, and Church Together in the Supreme Court Gardens WA. Gayle also choreographed a performance for the “WA Cancer Council Fundraising Ball 2009” hosted by Karl Langdon (West Coast Eagles) and guest Bree Amer (Big Brother). Gayle’s work was performed at the “2010 Fiesta Choreographers Ball” with guest choreographer 'Tweetie' from the Bronx, New York.

Gayle has a legacy of awards for her work as both a performer and choreographer, allowing her to bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to share with the upcoming professional performers of tomorrow.
